Video Games

Video games or pc games as u call it,Its a must for any normal Boys!
well unless ur a have another weird kind of reason not to play them.
A lot of people things that playing video games just waste ur life away,
while that fact is true It might also helps that person to generate new ideas
especially if the person is in the creative field,who knows what will come up in the middle of a game
when they are doing designs as well.
I find the amount of possibilities is humongous to generate new ideas or to create a new kind of designs.
It is relaxing anyway to play some games and stop urself from stressing out xD

Vampire movies nowadays sucks

Seriously the not-so-teenage-anti cliche group dislike has zero interest in soap opera like Twilight. Me being neutral in this sense for so long, would like to share my 2cents here. Vampire doesn't suck before this. I mean, they suck [blood] but they are not suckers. LOL. Why does the word 'sucks' means so much. Well, they are only known as bloody sucker when Twilight & The Vampire Stories emerged the teenager's mind way too deep.

Vampire deserve to be scary, gory and bloodcurdling but now people characterize vampire as handsome, romantic and charming. Confusing huh?

Here are some random points I would like to rant about.

First of all, boring movie posters. 

How boring?

Forever the same way to portray.

How easy?

Posing and staring away from the camera.

I rather watch vampire movies with this kind of Gory feelings than the i dont even know

It was about vampires if i dont watch it movies LOL.

The Cove

Ever wonder the fact that 23,000 dolphins die in Japan ever year?
You have to watch this.
It is not just a simple movie there's deep meaning beneath.
The true story that portraits the evil side of human,where theres always a dark side to human nature and how they selfishly slaugther others for their own gain regardless of how others feel.
Not a pretty sight i must say,many humans tend to run away from the fact that man are born evil,i always wonder it myself y people finds it so ahrd to accept that fact.

Outing today.

Went to the book store where i used to go.

Meeting back these books can make me really happy.

Design books are not just a book.

They own a life.

And it's all interesting.

Having an untold stories and everyone will perceive the different meaning.

New inspiration even reading back the same old book.

You see that in black & white but I think it's colourful.

There's no restriction in design.

That's why we all loving it.

Not a book person?

Sucker Punch

Well i have recently watch this awesome movie from Zack Snyder and Steve Shibuya again,

thecreators of 300 and Watchmen

bringing us into the fantasy of a girls wildest mind

depicting friendship, escape, actions, sex, and reality with alot of symbolic issues....

well i find alot of people don't quite like it...

well people don't quite like Watchmen too

which was their previous movie...

well i find that this kind of movie breaks

the norms of a kick ass Chick flick....

its something worth while to watch if you like artsie movie's

if not then don't bother you might just think its a waste of time and money ...

gamers... fantasy... action... thrilling... and artsie people

should definitely watch this the motion graphics is awesome with the colors and the shots beautifully placed making it simply irresistible to recommend it to my friends... well if graphics and motiongraphers watch this its awesome.

Hayao Miyazaki

     Mr Hayao Miyazaki the by the famous Japanese manga artist and prominent film director as well as animator of many popular anime. Through a career that has spanned nearly fifty years, Miyazaki has attained international acclaim as a maker of animated feature films such as Pom Poko,Whisper of the heart,The Cat returns,Tales from Earth Sea and Arriety.He was a very hardworking animator as when he start a work he will go to many locations to look for inspiration and slowly draw  a lot of extensive storyboard for it.I admire his attitude towards his love for animation and for working it out as the style of animation he produces not only world famous but the story within them was also a very touching one. these are few examples of his great work.THe one i like most is the Tales from EarthSea.

                                        

Dragons,Yes the big gigantic lizards that have a lot of legends and myth and until now was unable to confirm its existence.Yet,i have to say im a great fan of dragon,totally obsess with them until wateva games,books,toys,anime that relates to dragons i will indulge myself in it lol.I find them very strong,tough and badass enough to stand above all mankind representing the peak of power if there was ever real dragon existed.But seems like in ancient times theres a lot of countries that have the figures of a dragon traces left in their wall painting or even building implying there might actually be a dragon last time or a dinosaur lol. I like to research a lot about ancient myth and legends for it is very fascinating and it gives a great deals of ideas and imagination of how the stories play like in my head :3.Even though some people claim that dragons are a horrible wild and ugly creature for me it is awesome to the max :D.Dragon fans until the very end lol~

New Form Of THORLING~lol

No idea when this phenomenon suddenly spark and spread like wild fire across facebook last few weeks ,and so i named it the THOR phenomenon,mainly because Thor is the character that been make fun of since theres a lot of similar words in chinese,hokkien in other language and dialects as well for example.BEHOLD THE ALMIGHTY:

theres a lot of it in the internet which makes me thing that some people can randomly use something and transform it into an awesome phenomenon and make it a world famous thingy in an instant.How powerful creativity and social networking nowadays lol.It proves that no matter how small or how insignificant something looks like,if u have a great idea and the method to utilize it fully,it will become a storm or a strong current that will sweep a lot of people in it :3 and thats all for today,enjoy more THORLOLOLO pictures on the way :D.

Baby CAN CAN

           Introducing my baby can can 650D ,the world 1st dslr with touch screen at the price of 2799 with a 18~55mm zoom lens.. this baby is the newest entry  level dslr found in the market currenly thats quite a bargain i must say.1 year ago i sold my 1000D due to im not that interested in the subject at that time and later on theres video subject which the model at that time doesnt have a camera function that allow me to do my assignment so i just sold it b4  it stay rusted at somewhere in my storage lol..

         Although this semester i didnt take any photography subjects ,i decided to invest in one since i thought i might as well try to master as much subject as possible or just be a jack in all trades that know a bit of something here and there,aiming to be a top designer anyway so thats that part of the story.

  

Although buying this babe cost a lot of money somehow i think its worthwhile now that i get a hold on it and trigger happily all around during the shooting trips with classmate which they are rushing for assignments and im just there for the sake of gathering some nice photos for my portfolios,it didnt take long for me to get interested in it so soon even after abandoning photography for a long time during my college days,which i find kinda stupid at that time wasting so much money buying this and that equipments for god who knows what reason lol...but now after around 2 years i found a reason i doing so..i like photograping stuff now not that i claim to be a pro or something as im slacking off during my photography class skipping lectures and stuff..lets just say i found a whole new love for photography now that im willing to learn as much as possible about it..its a part of designing i suppose..learning a thing or two wont hurt..so anyway theres a few pictures i took earlier..too lazy to upload a lot of them though..internet sucks so.. thats it for now.. until then

Whenever people mention about Pop Art, the initial thoughts will be Marilyn Monroe, Jackie Kennedy and Campbell's Soup.It was originated from England in the 1950s and then emerged to United States in the 1960s. As day goes by, diversification is added and the outcome makes today's Pop Art.

I like the way they combine any random, common everyday objects into one graphic. No restrictions and vibrant colors are used.
That's the characteristics I adore heaps.

Art shouldnt have much restriction for me.I personally is a rebel at heart,disliking rules and loves to break them

disobedients are some of my awesome and nerve wrecking traits too for others haha.

but when u think of it,thats how u can express  yourself as whole,not being told by someone what to do or what not to do.Why cast so much restriction on yourself when all u need is to expand whatever creative thoughts that u have had in mind?

For me i love to be as free as a bird soaring in the sky,then u will be able to explore the big a vast open sky and come out with a lot more ideas :D xoxo

GACKYLICIOUS

 This week i would like to Blog about this person whos a bit wacky but have been a great source of inspiration to me as well as someone i really look up too that push me to do better in many aspects. lets Introduce GACKY WAI XIN LIN aka GAC GAC,Guek guek, and other embarassing nicknames she had tsk tsk.An ex student of UTAR,one of the top student in dean list during her time,a crazy but funny girl hail from ipoh as i am have been a great encouragement for me,and was partly a reason y i had chosen utar and not continuing advance diploma in ktar instead after graduating there.

Shes been like a mentor and a big sister to me for a long time.The bits and parts of her life,her inspiration,experience,wackyness always been some sort of encouragement to help me pull through when im doing an asignment or when im really exhausted  by something in life and im deeply fascinated by all the things she went through and her point of view to things which is individually unique and somewhat makes me wana be like her too lol,For me shes like somesort of a living inspiration machine always producing very good stuff thats creative,wacky funny and colorful.cant really seen a dull moment in her life which was very diffrent unlike me at that time when i get to know her.

Everytime when i really runs out of mood or inspirations i will just lookup on the previous stuff and photos she took and it will somehow calm me down and gives me encouragement to continue forward chasing after things that really meant something to u and u wanted it too.she change my outlook on life that theres another whole new world and perspective in life that u just have to try to be diffrent for a change and try on new stuff and not to be afraid of exploring.The more u get exposed to diffrent types of people,things,events, places, the more u can get inspired out from them even the simplest form of matter.

For me shes an irreplacable person that ever appear in my life and one that is really  meaningful to me and has given me a lot of things and open up my eyes to a diffrent world in art and design.a respectible figure of some sort to me :)

Stickman.the beginning of my creativity

Stickman figurines the beginning of my creativity in my early childhood.I used to buy a lot of big mahjong papers and keep drawing drawing and drawing stickman like the picture above and made up some kind of children fantasies such as dragonballs,becoming super saiya by drawing the aura around the stickman and the spiky hair .or muscular stickman around holding swords fighting each other in the whole drawing.allowing me to explore a lot of my own imagination and ideas.

An idea can be simple, but as  the core of the imagination the  possibilities of expanding ideas from the core are numerous.One should always remember to start from the basics,and then slowly try to explore more ways to expand ones creativity using the same thing and watch it evolve.This subject has remind me that creativity always comes in the simplest form 1st before expanding and evolving into a more complex subject ,a lesson which i had forgotten long ago and a mistake i always made by rushing into a more complex part and deny attention towards the more starting point of an idea.This should serve as a valueble lesson to evry designer out there not to forget about it.

Romantic Mystery

Jj lin jun jie,one of my favourite singer...well not just because of his outstanding and captivating voice..but also i realize the effort to shoot each of his Music video is special in its own way...its contains a strong idea of  individuality as well as its way unique than ur average music video in the chinese industries.. i enjoy watching his music videos as evry new album theres assurance that there will be something special or a change of style and techniques used to shoot that particular music video.This song titled  romantic mystery was shot at paris and contains a lot of elements that i really like no matter the color the flow of the storyline and the music to me was quite a perfect match..sometimes i really gain quite a bit of ideas to do things out from his music videos sometimes....giving me a picture this singer does work hard even to potray a particular feeling.The video capturing skills always inspires me to do something alike if only i can afford that kind of cameras and the equipments lol..this one much to my liking was the favourite currently since the background and the setting all over paris was quite fascinating in its own way.One have to truely savour and appreciate the content by watching the process of the video intentively.

LoMoGrApHy

Lomography,which i personally discovered about after incidentaly come across some few stunning pictures alike the above pictures,and i thought it was taken using some really high end cameras with photoshop.The unique colors,angle and the diffrence from ur above pictures led me to research more about the origins of the photos and thus i discover a whole new photography world.Lomography a type of pictures taken with funky and quirky analogue cameras,available  in diffrent shapes and sizes and it have the possibilities to test and explore ur imagination is practically infinite with the available diffrent type of lenses,filters,types of film used and the most interesting part above all..u can nvr predict how the pictures will turn out b4 u take them to be produce out.The anxiety and the infinite possibilities a photo might turn out to be extremely extravagant or even might be fugly or unique is a selling point and attraction towards lomo users nowadays. I personaly will like to explore more about the techniques and the combination of the equipments used to produce some really stunning pictures,personally it  inspires and attracted me to give myself a chance to try out lomography as well.
